To support the many works of mercy throughout Northern California, the Sisters of Mercy sponsor two Foundations, Mercy Foundation Sacramento and Mercy Foundation North. Desiring to be part of the Mercy mission and tradition of service for the disadvantaged, trustees give of their time, talent, and resources. In the past year the Mercy Foundations raised over 6 million dollars to benefit initiatives in housing, health care, education, community outreach and care for those most in need. Mercy Foundation Sacramento supports the Mercy mission in the greater Sacramento area and its surrounding counties while Mercy Foundation North serves the Mercy mission in Shasta, Tehama and Siskiyou counties.

The staff of the Mercy Foundations help connect persons with initiatives that change lives. Persons wishing to invest in the future, hoping to use their talents for a good cause, or explore how they can use their resources for the good of others, will find a home in the Foundations.
